Welcome to the GAY LIFE EXPO!

Yes, New York. Gays do live here.

Staten Island's first ever GAY LIFE EXPO was held Sunday January 25 at the Hilton Garden Inn (www.NicotrasBallroom.com). More than 40 businesses had tables or booths (Fine Art fotos.com even had a small studio set up!) Some of these businesses included Dream On Events (which does the CTV show NY Rocks www.DreamOnEvents.com) Vanity Fare Caterers (www.VanityFareNj.com) Disney (www.Disney.com) Safari Realtors (www.SafariRealtor.com) Next Magazine (www.NextMagazine.net)) Eric Aversa, founder of Passages, (www.PridePassages.com)the gay and lesbian travel agency of West Brighton sponsored the event and was pleasantly surprised of the turnout and is already planning another event in September.

LUCILLE MEYERS DAY

Staten Islanders saluted Lucille Meyers on the occasion of her 75th Birthday. The party at Li Greci's Staaten, http://www.thestaaten.com/, was attended by family and friends who offered gratitude, admiration and their heartfelt best wishes. The Borough President James Molinaro,
www.StatenIslandUSA.com/Molinaro, proclamed January 18, 2009 as Lucille Meyers Day by the virture of the power and authority vested in him by the laws of the City and State of New York.

Bring on 2009!

For years New Yorkers and those living in the Tri-State area have seen my photographs on billboard advisement's, now that I am working with FERRY ADS http://www.FerryAds.com/ my art is not only on the boat but on NYC buses too! I got a big thrill out of knowing that the artist from the Wall Street Journal made a drawing from my photo of Michael Menicucci and it graces his syndicated column.
A lot has happened in 2008, it was my first full year in the SI BUCKS BUSINESS NETWORK http://www.SiBucks.com/, after being with the SI CHAMBER OF COMMERCE http://www.SiChamber.com/
BUSINESS GUILD II http://www.BusinessGuild2.com/ for many years.
To my surprise Leo Getz http://www.321Bizness.com/
handed me the ISLAND STAR AWARD after saying some awfully nice things about me at the biggest networking event of the year!
But the greatest thing was being invited to join the STATEN ISLAND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL http://www.Siedc.net/, now I'm having breakfast with the most important movers and shakers on this often forgotten borough!
